Bachelorette Vineyard Hopping

Day 1

Bachelorette Vineyard Hopping starts on arrival in the valley, let the fun begin, check in to your 4-star cottage on a beautiful farm in the Hemel & Aarde Valley within walking distance of many of the valleys award winning wine estates. Thereafter a short road transfer takes us up Rotary Way Drive for spectacular views of Walker Bay and the Hemel & Aarde Valley.The first walk is a scenic, mostly downhill & easy walk from the top of Rotary Way though aromatic mountain fynbos to sample the fruit of Hamilton Russell‘s Estate vineyard.

Hamilton Russell is one of the most southerly wine Estates in Africa, and pioneered viticulture & wine-making in the Hemel & Aarde Valley. Take a very leisurely stroll to Bouchard Finlayson, globally acclaimed for producing the best Pinot Noir in South Africa as well as exceptional Chardonnays’ & Sauvignon Blancs. The deli platter will not disappoint as you enjoy the beautiful garden setting.

From Bouchard Finlayson you will be transferred back to the farm for a relaxing evening and a light dinner.

Day 2

Option 1

After breakfast we explore the beautiful Babylonstoren mountain range which tower over us as we ascend towards the vineyards of Ataraxia, the highest positioned winery in the valley. We stop off to sample their stunning handcrafted wine before descending to cross over to the Kleinrivier mountainside. The trail winds alongside olive trees and rugged limestone terrain, leading to the tasting room of Spookfontein. Relax for lunch in their marvelous boutique restaurant.
(Distance 9 km) (+2 km downhill stroll to accommodation for those that are keen to stretch their legs after lunch, otherwise transport can be provided)

Option 2

Enjoy a hearty farm breakfast before stretching your legs on one of the most scenic walking routes in the valley. Walk along the Kleinrivier Mountainside to La Vierge Winery, then to Bosman Family Winery where we visit the Frame House for a wine tasting. Continuing on we stroll through horse farms, orchards and vineyards to Sumaridge Wine Estate for a wine tasting while enjoying their sumptuous lunch platters. Transfer to our next overnight stop at luxurious Cape-style cottages nestle alongside the Babylonstoren Mountain range

Day 3

The final day of the Bachelorette Vineyard Hopping starts along a section of the famous Hermanus Cliff Path with beautiful coastal sea views. We take an easy walk to Dutchies restaurant alongside Grotto Beach for a champagne breakfast “with a sea view”. The white sandy shores mark the end of the Overberg Wine Walk.
